Counseling
Counselling services at our organisation are designed to provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where individuals can openly explore their emotional, psychological, and interpersonal concerns. We follow a client-centred and evidence-based approach, focusing on understanding each individual’s unique experiences, strengths, and challenges. Our counselling process aims to support emotional regulation, improve coping skills, enhance self-awareness, and promote overall psychological well-being. Through structured sessions and empathetic guidance, individuals are assisted in managing stress, anxiety, mood difficulties, relationship concerns, academic or work-related pressures, and life transitions. We are committed to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional standards, ensuring that each person receives respectful, culturally sensitive, and goal-oriented support to facilitate personal growth, resilience, and improved quality of life.
De-addiction awareness program
The Deaddiction Awareness Program aims to educate individuals, families, and communities about substance use disorders and behavioural addictions, their psychological impact, and the importance of early identification and intervention. The program focuses on increasing awareness about the risk factors, warning signs, and consequences of addiction on mental health, relationships, academic or occupational functioning, and overall quality of life. Through interactive sessions, psychoeducation, and community-based initiatives, the program promotes informed decision-making, healthy coping strategies, and positive lifestyle changes. Emphasis is placed on reducing stigma, encouraging help-seeking behaviour, and fostering supportive environments for recovery. The program also highlights prevention strategies, relapse awareness, and the role of family and social support in the recovery process, contributing to long-term well-being and social responsibility.
Disaster management
Human Care Foundation has actively intervened in disaster management and rehabilitation efforts during several major calamities, including the Nepal earthquake, Chennai floods, Puttingal fire accident, and the floods and landslides of 2018 and 2019. Through timely relief measures and coordinated response strategies, HCF focused on mitigating the immediate and long-term impact of these disasters on affected communities. In association with Acton Malappuram, HCF successfully constructed 80 permanent houses across the state, supporting rehabilitation and resettlement of displaced families. In addition to emergency relief, HCF has implemented structured programmes and sustained support systems for vulnerable populations, including widows, the elderly, and individuals with mental health vulnerabilities. These initiatives aim to restore dignity, promote psychosocial well-being, and facilitate long-term recovery through community-based care, social support, and rehabilitation services.
KELKANORIDAM
KELKANORIDAM is a supportive initiative of Human Care Foundation that provides a safe and accessible space for individuals to share their concerns and challenges across various areas of life. Through this platform, trained social workers and professionals at HCF offer empathetic listening, guidance, and appropriate support to anyone seeking help. The initiative is designed to ensure that individuals feel heard, understood, and supported, regardless of the nature of their concerns, while maintaining confidentiality, respect, and ethical practice. KELKANORIDAM aims to promote emotional well-being, encourage help-seeking behaviour, and connect individuals with suitable resources and interventions when required.
Successful model villages
Human Care Foundation has successfully developed Model Villages in Harinkhola and Bodai, West Bengal, with a comprehensive approach to community development and social empowerment. As part of this initiative, HCF constructed houses and sanitation facilities for homeless families, ensuring improved living conditions and dignity. To strengthen education in rural areas, the organisation provided scholarships, tuition support, and computer education for children, contributing to enhanced learning opportunities and a significant reduction in school dropout rates. In addition, Women Self-Help Groups were formed and supported to promote sustainable income-generating activities, fostering financial independence and long-term community resilience. Through these integrated efforts, HCF continues to work towards inclusive development and sustainable rural transformation.
